AGS Morocco was selected by the Foundation for Development of the Contemporary African Culture (FDCCA) to transport artworks as part of a travelling exhibition of contemporary art across the African continent.

The exhibition, ‘Prête-moi ton rêve’ (Lend me your dream), which opened in June 2019, brings together over 40 works of art by 28 internationally acclaimed African artists of 15 different nationalities. The exhibition will be showcased across five African countries and will continue for several months in 2020. The project aims to show the vitality of the African art landscape to the African audience.

The experience of the AGS branch in art transport played a decisive role in the foundation’s choice of partner. In 2014, AGS Morocco was responsible for the transfer of artworks from Morocco to the Arab World Institute in Paris, for an exhibition on contemporary Morocco.

For the traveling exhibition “Prête-moi ton rêve”, AGS Morocco is managing the transportation of the artworks between Morocco and other host countries. A first exhibition took place in Casablanca from June to July 2019. The second stage of this artistic tour will take place in Dakar, Senegal and will be inaugurated in the city for this leg of the tour on 06 December, which coincides with the first anniversary of the Museum of Black Civilizations. The exhibition will be on display in Dakar until February 2020.

The local AGS branch in each country will supervise the transportation of the works of art from the place of arrival (port or airport) to the exhibition venue, under the management of AGS Morocco. During 2020, the exhibition will stop in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and Cape Town, South Africa. Finally, “Prête-moi ton rêve” will close with an exhibition of the masterpieces in Marrakesh, Morocco, the 2020 Capital of Culture for Africa.
