Dear Colleagues

In 2009 the AGS group, a socially responsible company, confirmed its commitment towards sustainable development and social responsibility through its participation in the United Nations Global Compact. For more information, please visit the website at: www.agsmovers.com/sustainabledevelopment

In line with these commitments, the AGS Group has decided to go further in the management of its carbon footprint.

AGS is launching a new initiative in order to compensate for the environmental impact that is inherent to its business activity (packing material and carbon dioxide emissions during transportation).

From February and throughout 2010, 1 tree will be planted for every international move operation, of more than 10m³, carried out by AGS.

From now on you will see this new logo on our communications and you can find the brochures and examples of the certificates under the following link on our intranet:
http://intranet.ags-demenagement.com/modules/docmanager/index.php?curent_dir=735

FOR THE TRANSFEREE

A Tree Certificate will be emailed to every expatriate at the end of each move.

This certificate is translated into several languages: French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Each certificate will be personalised and will be numbered to ensure follow-up as required by Planète Urgence.

The success of this operation relies on your involvement: make sure that your clients are aware of this project and that they receive their certificates.

FOR AGS’ CORPORATE CLIENTS

A corporate certificate will be sent out to each company at the end of the year, detailing the total number of trees planted on behalf of its employees whose moves have been carried out by AGS.

Our clients select their service providers according to criteria that also meet environmental standards: help them make the right choice by choosing AGS - the responsible removal company.

For your convenience we have put a centralised system in place in Cape Town, from which certificates will be sent out and indexed.

Email: greenmove@agsmovers.com

Charlène will send out a certificate for each confirmed international move of more than 10m³.

She will need the following information: departure branch, the name of the person in charge of the move, surname, first name and email address of the client, language spoken, route code, name and reference of corporate account, origin and destination.

All that you are required to do is complete the form attached and send it back to greenmove@agsmovers.com.

Upon receipt of the forms, Charlène will complete the certificates and she will send these to the respective clients. It is essential that the form is completed correctly and that the information is accurate.

Your clients can also claim their certificates directly by visiting www.agsmovers.com/corporate-social-responsibility/planete-urgence/tree-certificate.

This new initiative is an important sales tool. There is no need to remind you of the importance of cooperation on the part of the branches in order for this project to succeed. We expect each of you to collaborate fully with Charlène and we thank you in advance for your collaboration that starts with immediate effect. Charlène remains at your disposal for any further information.
